Claw Repairs & Re-Tipping
Over time the claws (prongs) on your jewellery can become worn down rendering them insecure. Re-tipping is the act of building up the claws in order to make them more sturdy which is required to secure your gemstone and keep it safe. The most common item of jewellery that requires re-tipping is a ring, simply because it takes more wear and tear than other items of jewellery.
It is important to remember that claws are used to keep your gemstones secure and therefore it is very important to have them checked regularly (we recommend an annual check up) and adjusted if necessary. Re-tipping your claws can also improve the aesthetic of your jewellery.
Prices for re-tipping are based on the number of claws requiring attention, and the amount of work required. Remember, not all claws will need work at the same time.
